As one of the Windward Islands, St Lucia was named in honour of Saint Lucy of Syracuse (Santa Lucia) by the French, the first European colonizers. In 1814, the British took definitive control of the island but the name remains as of today as Saint Lucia.
Once having visited the most beautiful countries of the world I discover Saint Lucia and I was astonished by the natural beauty of Val des Pitons.
